Fujitsu Shock Sensor Utility
In the event your hard disk drive experiences excessive vibration or shock, there is a possibility that the read-write head will come in contact with of the rotating platter, resulting in a "head crash." If this happens, data loss may occur. The Fujitsu Shock Sensor utility is a sophisticated hard disk drive protection system designed to minimize the likelihood of such an event.

Inside select Fujitsu notebooks and Tablet PCs there is an accelerometer that constantly senses for any sudden movement, including free falls, excessive vibration, or sudden impacts. Fujitsu Shock Sensor monitors movement from three axes: front-to-back, side-to-side, and up-and-down. The sensitivity can be adjusted by the user to accommodate different working environments.

If a sudden movement is detected, the read-write head is quickly retracted to a safe zone, reducing the possibility of a head crash and the potential loss of data. This technology reduces the risk of your hard drive being damaged and your data being lost forever.

Flexible Form Factor
Write handwritten notes and diagrams directly on the screen like a regular notepad of paper or conduct your business in standard notebook mode doing proposals, reports, or presentations. Whether you're a student taking notes in class, a doctor charting a patient's progress, or a corridor warrior running from meeting to meeting, the LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC offers you the comfort and ease of a traditional notebook combined with the amazing versatility of a Tablet PC. The LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC offers a large 12.1" bright display with greater than 160° viewing angles, the latest Intel® Core 2 Duo processor, built-in Wi-Fi® Certified Wireless LAN, and an optional docking station with built-in optical drive capacity. Active Digitizer
In combination with a special pen, the electromagnetic (active) digitizer allows for more accurate pen-driven input. The digitizer allows both hovering and variable pressure effects for smooth inking, enhancing the overall user experience.

Display Indoor/Outdoor Display—Same as the indoor display but with an anti-reflective coating instead, the indoor/outdoor display offers improved viewing experience with better contrast and less reflections. You will be amazed at the clarity of this LED back-lit display designed to be used indoors in your office or home work environment as well as casual outdoor usage. This bright indoor/outdoor display offers greater than 160° viewing angles as well.

Indoor Display— The new 12.1-inch wide XGA LED back-lit display offers a brilliant and better energy efficient notebook at 1280 x 800 resolution with 16M colors. An anti-glare coating applied to the display is perfect for indoor use such as typical office and home work environments. With one-touch launch buttons you can easily rotate your screen orientation or scroll up and down within an application document. For detail function description, please refer to the Getting Started Guide or the User’s Guide.

Fujitsu Utility Menu
Not only is the hardware user-friendly and intuitive, but the Fujitsu-designed software utility bundle is, too. Pressing the Fn (Function) button twice, or clicking from the taskbar, will bring up the floating Fujitsu Menu Utility from which you have one-tap access to almost any setting imaginable for your LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC including brightness control, tablet and pen settings, Fujitsu Display Controls, power options, and more. Docking Station
The optional docking station allows immediate connection to any of your desktop peripherals, including external USB media devices, mice, LAN pass-thru, audio line-out, or external monitors for a dual-display capability. The LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC comes with a Fujitsu-designed software utility called ‘Fujitsu Display Controls’ for you to program your external monitor display profile. Once set, the utility will remember all your display settings whenever you dock your system to the docking station. It also remembers your system display settings when it is undocked. It is user friendly and automatic–no powering down, and no re-configuring required.
In addition, the docking station has two security lock slots, one to lock-down the docking station itself and the other one to secure both your system and the docking station. The docking station can be configured with a fixed CD-RW/DVD Combo drive, or a fixed dual layer multi-format DVD writerl

Integrated Modem, LAN and Wireless LAN
Connect without limits to your office network or the Internet with integrated Ethernet LAN, modem, and Wi-Fi® Certified Wireless LAN. The LAN port has a fast 10/100/1000 Mbps transfer speed to provide high-speed connection to your office network or broadband Internet connections such as cable modem, DSL line or digital satellite signal. The 56K V.90 modem lets you connect while you are on the road or at home by using a regular telephone line if a LAN port is not available. For even more flexibility, the LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC comes with the Wireless LAN solution from Intel® or Atheros.

The Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN with Intel® Next-Gen Wireless-N delivers high throughput and a host of features that enhance today's mobile lifestyle. You can download digital content or send it around the house at record speed, get high-quality audio and high-definition video faster, better, and in more spots in your home, and reduce dropped connections, all with the promise of reduced dropped connections. Look for the “Connect with Centrino” identifier when buying your wireless access point to ensure compatibility with PCs that have the Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N. Fujitsu mobile PCs that have the Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N are designed to work with existing 802.11a/b/g access points, as well as providing new benefits with wireless N networks.

The second option is Atheros Super AG® (802.11a/b/g), which supports a transfer rate of up to 108 Mbps. Wireless LAN provides cable-free connections in the office or at home using broadband technologies such as DSL, cable modem, or digital satellite signal.

Quality and Reliability
The tight interaction between Fujitsu design, engineering, manufacturing and service support creates some of the highest quality products offered in the PC market. In a time when most PCs are assembled by third-party vendors, Fujitsu takes pride in its own world-class design and manufacturing capabilities.

Multiple Layers of Security
The LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC offers a combination of physical hardware and software security solutions to provide the highest levels of mobile computer protection. When the time comes for an organization to implement one or more security features, the LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC is ready for deployment.

Biometrics
Fujitsu offers a built-in biometric fingerprint swipe sensor that eliminates the need for managing multiple passwords when accessing the network and managing email accounts and other protected systems. With a simple swipe of the finger, you can quickly and safely log onto the protected system and online accounts without having to enter passwords.

TPM
The embedded TPM 1.2 protects digital identification and data, and authenticates you into your network. It also allows you to securely store private keys and certificates for file and folder encryption, Web, email, digital signature, and passwords.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) solutions can help play a strong role in assuring compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect medical records, as well as Graham-Leech-Bliley, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other regulations that impose privacy and security requirements.

Security Panel
To protect your notebook from unauthorized access, the notebook features four "combination lock" buttons that can be used for pre-boot password log-in. Once set, the notebook will boot up only when the correct combination is entered.

There are 800,000 possible combinations with supervisor and user password levels allowing the IT manager to set a single supervisor password with unique user passwords for each employee for better manageability.

The buttons also allow you to easily launch applications with one easy touch. The buttons can be programmed to launch your email, Internet browser, or other favorite applications.

Dedicated Smart Card Slot
The LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC features a dedicated Smart Card slot, allowing you to store passwords and other confidential information on a small plastic card. Smart Cards are extremely convenient and are widely used in employee badges in large enterprises and in government — especially the Department of Defense. They can also be used in conjunction with TPM and the biometric fingerprint sensor for multi-level user authentication.

BIOS and HDD Password Protection
Medium-to-large enterprises will appreciate this added layer of protection. With the notebook's password-protected BIOS, unauthorized users are prevented from changing the BIOS settings and booting the notebook.

The LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC also features Supervisor and User HDD password protection, allowing system administrators to have a password that's secret from the users, and to be used to unlock the device if the User password is lost.
