Great Productivity Laptop

The Macbook is an excellent productivity laptop. It just works, like the commercials claim. OS 10 is easy to use. The programs open and work seamlessly. I recommend getting the 2 GB of RAM especially if you are going to do heavy duty multitasking using Adobe CS3 and all of it's huge programs. Get the extra RAM from a third party. Apple charges waaaay too much for RAM. The display is clean. The keyboard and tracker pad works great. All of the iLife programs (photo, tunes, web, garage band, photo booth) work great as well. This is a great laptop with an excellent reliability over the last year since the Intel chips debuted. Well worth the money to get away from beta testing another Microsoft operating system!

Where to start... This is an excellent laptop. Battery lasts about 4-5 hours. OS X is simply amazing; organized, easy and beautiful interface, great feel for they keyboard, trackpad and its scrolling methods (2 fingers = scroll up/down). What else... Wireless N Airport. Easy volume buttons. All software "just works." Powerful processor. 1GB is enough. Desktop is customizable. Slot-loading DVD-RW drive is nice. The "Front Row" remote is a cool feature. Built-in iSight for video chatting. Finder is pretty cool, much more useful than a stupid "search" in xp. Oh, and there is bootcamp if you want to use XP or vista (i installed windows for about 10 min and then immediately deleted it). Bootcamp is great; you can repartition the drive to fit windows or delete windows and assign the space back to OS X with literally the click of a button. The CPU is pretty quick; Super Pi-ed 1M in about 30 seconds. 1GB RAM is great. I'm sure i mentioned that all the software is amazing.
